UPCYCLED GUITAR SHELF

Project: Repurposed a broken guitar into a wall shelf

Backstory: In 2017 I was offered this damaged guitar by a neighbor to fix or repurpose. I am a woodworker and I play guitar, but am not a luthier. I chose to make a shelf from the guitar so that people like myself who appreciate music and fine craftsmanship could continue to enjoy this piece.

Where: Brooklyn, NY

Materials: 1973 Gibson guitar “Gospel” model, cedar wood, brass screws, abalone bridge pins

2017
